Short biography

I.A. Sviridova has got two higher educations: she has graduated from the Kemerovo State Medical Institute (speciality "Medical Business") and the Tomsk State University ("State and Municipal Governance").

In 1999 she successfully defended her Candidate's thesis.

In 2002 I.A. Sviridova took up the post of Head of the Department of Science and Higher School of the Kemerovo Region, and in 2003 she was transferred to the post of Deputy Governor on Science and Education. For her large contribution to socio-economic development of the Kuzbass, creative approach to the matter, initiative I.A. Sviridova was awarded with the regional medals "For Particular Contribution to Development of the Kuzbass" Second Class, "For Faith and Good", the honorary badge "Kuzbass Gold Badge" and the Order "Valour of the Kuzbass". Besides, Irina Albertovna was honoured with the titles "Honorary Worker in the Sphere of Youth Policy" of the Russian Federation, "Honoured Worker of Higher School" of the Russian Federation, and with the Letter of Commendation from the Ministry of Education and Science.

In June of 2007 the Conference of Workers of the Kemerovo State University elected I.A. Sviridova as Rector of the KemSU.
