Short biography

B. P. Nevzorov was born on 30th July, 1939, in Postnikovo village of the Izhmorsky District of the Kemerovo Region, RSFSR. After leaving the Izhmorsky secondary school in 1957 his working experience was started: he was Instructor and later - Head of the Sector of Studying Youth and Pioneers of the Izhmorsky District Komsomol Committee. Since December of 1958 B. P. Nevzorov served in the the Air Forces of the Soviet Army as a private (a student of the flying school) and a sergeant being the specialist of the first class on ordnance and bombardment arming of planes of the strategical aviation.

In 1961 he entered the Physico-Mathematical (since 1963 - Physical) Faculty of the Kemerovo State Pedagogical Institute, and since that time his life and activities have been linked with that institution of higher education.

Being a student, Boris Pavlovich not only studied successfully, indulged in scientific work firm of purpose, but also performed an exclusively important Party assignment - worked as Secretary of the Komsomol Committee of the Institute. Just that time was marked with the considerable Komsomol contribution to strengthening the role of student organizations in formation of the Institute: construction of a new educational building of the Institute, development of the system of student self-goverment, active participation of public organizations in the academic and educational process of the Institute, in formation and development of the movement of student detachments in Kuzbass, in development of amateur talent activities and sports.

In February of 1967 Boris Pavlovich entered the Post-Graduate Courses at the Chair of General Physics, which were left by him with the thesis submitted for defence. In December of 1970 he successfully defended his thesis on the subject: "Investigation of the Temperature Dependence of Spectra of Combinative Dispersion of Small Frequencies of Some Organic Compounds" for the scientific degree of Candidate of Physics and Mathematics (Scientific Advisers - Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor Alexey Vladimirovich Sechkarev and Candidate of Pedagogics, Senior Lecturer Petr Timofeevich Nikolaenko), with five works published to that moment, including three - in the central press. Scientific results achieved by B. P. Nevzorov in studying oscillatory centers of organic crystals in the low-temperature modifications were included into the world fund of fundamental scientific knowledge: he proved existence of the quasi-crystalline orientational structure in organic fluids. Those results became the starting point for further studying defectness of real crystals and mechanisms of melting them, the basis of a new scientific line in Molecular Optics - Oscillatory Spectroscopy of Disordered Systems.

Since February of 1970 he had worked at the Physical Faculty as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer of the Chair of General Physics, since 1971 - as Dean of the Physical Faculty. In 1973 he was given the title of Senior Lecturer of the Chair of General Physics. B. P. Nevzorov's activities as Dean of the Faculty coinsided with the period of transformation of the Kemerovo State Pedagogical Institute into the Kemerovo State University. Just that time his rich experience of organizational work proved usefull: the transition of training students and work of the chairs of the Physical Faculty onto academic plans of the classical university required development of new for the Institute normative and methodical documents. B. P. Nevzorov was a leader and direct participant of development of the Statutes of the Faculty and of the Faculty Council, the Qualification Descriptions of the Specialist on the specialty "Physics", the programs of disciplines of the specializations (he himself developed the academic plan of the specialty and programs of three special courses of the Special Physical Practical Work on the specialization "Optics and Spectroscopy"). Boris Pavlovich Nevzorov was the first at the University elected Dean (1974). In 1976 - 1978, after A. B. Sechkarev's leaving in 1976, he became Head of the Chair of Experimental Physics, which in 1978 won the socialist competition and its Head was awarded with the Breastplate of the Ministery of Higher Education of the RSFSR "Winner of the Socialist Competition 1978".

For the period of his work in that line (Spectroscopy of Condensed States of Matter) he has published over sixty works, including five educational and educational methodical manuals for students of physical faculties, teachers of Physics, organized publication of a series of collections of scientific works on Physics and Chemistry of Condensed States of Matter (he was the editor and a member of the editorial board of seven such issues).

In 1979 Boris Pavlovich was appointed Vice-Rector on Correspondence Education. With all his energy and responsibilty he organized the work at the Department of Correspondence Education so that it met the requirements. For the period of his work at the Department of Correspondence Education he worked out over ten scientific methodical manuals on organization of the academic process for correspondence students, determined the principles and criteria of the quality assessment for training specialists, studying without discontinuing their work. Simultaneously Boris Pavlovich, as Vice-Rector supervising over students' non-educational work, publishing activities and press (the University newspaper and wall newspapers), paid great attention to scientific organization of all that work. The results of his work were represented in a series of statutes, normative documents and methodical manuals including a block of documents on organization of the work of curators of student groups and courses. All the materials were applied in the practical activities of the University and some of them, after appropriate corrections, are used even at present.

In 1983 Boris Pavlovich was appointed Vice-Rector on Educational Work and since 1989 he has been First Vice-Rector of the University. Since that time the major line in science, equally with Spectroscopy of Condensed Media, has become research on Pedagogics of Higher School. His works on career-guidance and continuous education, problem education and other active methods of education, rationalization and optimization of the academic process, on problems of optical and ecological education, having both the theoretical basis and the practical value, received a high appraisal in Russia and abroad. The carried out under the leadership of N. B. Nevzorov and N. E. Kasatkina research on problems of continuous and multi-level education in the frames of the program "University of Russia" was a considerable contribution into development of university education in Russia at the modern level.

Results of the research were published in numerous articles and the four monographs: "Organizational and Methodical Problems of University Pedagogical Education in Conditions of the Multi-Level System" (1994); "Socio-Economic Basis of Formation and Development of a Teacher's Personality at the University" (1996); "Theory and Practice of Formation of the Youth's Professional Self-Determination in Conditions of Continuous Education (By Example of the KemSU Activities)" (1996); "Pedagogical Conditions of Realization of Ecological Education" (1998), and also was the basis for the Doctor's thesis of B. P. Nevzorov on the subject: "Professional Formation of a Teacher in the System of Multi-Level University Education in the Region", which was successfully defended in 1998 at the Russian Academy of Education. The work "Theory and Practice of Formation of the Youth's Professional Self-Determination in Conditions of Continuous Education (By the Example of the KemSU Activities)" - authors Y. A. Zakharov, N. E. Kasatkina, B. P. Nevzorov, T. M. Churekova - was awarded with the RF Government Prize.

In 1993 B. P. Nevzorov was given a title of Professor at the Chair of Experimental Physics.
